A TOAST: 30 Years Mongui Maduro Foundation/Library

Ena, Els, Ester, Pim, where are you?

Dear friends, they, and others, aspired, labored, created and achieved. Their and our hearts are filled with satisfaction and joy for this wonderful labor of love that now sees the light of day today.

We Jews are known as the “People of the Book”. For several weeks, I have witnessed Master Scribe Rabbi Dr. Eric Ray restoring some of the sacred scrolls of our Congregation. I also witnessed a similar labor of love as Ena, Els and others worked on and created “The Past: A Present for our Future, 30 Years S.A.L. (Mongui) Maduro Foundation.”

May this book and all it represents, live up to all our expectations, and may this incredibly unique Library continue to serve all peoples who quest for knowledge about their past and their present.

To the foundation, to the Library, to Ena: I say: “HAZAK: May you continue to grow from strength to strength.”

L’Chayim!
